Anastasis Stamatis

Anastasis is a Data Scientist focusing on using Data to understand human behavior and applying Data Science for social good. He began his career as a Civil Engineer, graduating from the National Technical University of Athens followed by an MSc from University of Surrey. During his time in the UK he worked as an Engineer on complex infrastructure projects and he chaired Progress Network Midlands, the local Young Professionals committee of the Midlands Region.

He has been extensively involved in environmental campaigns on a national (i.e. www.letsdoitgreece.org) and global level, representing Greece at the “World Clean Up Day” among 140 countries. He is a Shaper of the Global Shapers Athens Hub, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, undertaking environmental and climate change actions. His also a member of Omdena, a global community on Data Scientists building AI solutions for real-world problems.
