Dr. Gougoulidis George
Dr. George Gougoulidis is an experienced Naval Architect with a demonstrated history of working in the shipbuilding and shiprepair industry, as well as on board ships. He has served in various managerial and technical positions throughout his career. He has a strong academic background with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as well as a Naval Engineer’s Degree, and an MSc in Ocean Systems Management from the same university. Currently, he is an appointed Educational Counselor for MIT in Greece. He was also formerly the president of the MIT International Shipping Club. Dr. Gougoulidis has published several papers in scientific journals as well as in conference proceedings, both in English and in Greek. He has been teaching naval architecture related courses for the last 7 years. Dr. Gougoulidis is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Global Maritime Studies ‐ Greek Chapter, as well as a member of the advisory board of CommonLawgic.
